Resumen

En la actualidad, para fomentar el desarrollo económico resulta necesario contar con un ecosistema emprendedor óptimo. La interacción que generan las instituciones y los consumidores constituye un papel importante en la sostenibilidad de los emprendimientos. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar si las características del ecosistema emprendedor en el ámbito del mercado del arte en Imbabura son favorables. Con un enfoque mixto se realizó un estudio de caso. La observación y la revisión documental fueron relevantes para seleccionar los dominios claves que conforman el ecosistema del emprendimiento. Como instrumento se utilizó una encuesta dirigida a artistas de la provincia. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian desconocimiento acerca de los componentes del ecosistema emprendedor en el ámbito artístico. Como limitaciones principales se pueden mencionar que los mecanismos de valoración de las obras de arte no han sido estudiados en profundidad, al mismo tiempo el arte no es reconocido como objeto de inversión financiera alternativa. Se concluye que, para lograr un buen funcionamiento del ecosistema emprendedor estudiado, es necesario una cultura que favorezca y aliente el emprendimiento, una adecuada fuente de financiamiento, un liderazgo local fuerte y un conjunto de políticas que promuevan el desarrollo de los negocios. También, contar con talento humano de calidad, un mercado y consumidores que valoren positivamente la innovación.
