Actualmente el éxito de una organización depende de la capacidad de la dirección para utilizar métodos que permitan maximizar el capital humano. Por ello, el estudio investiga el impacto del coaching como método moderno y sus conexiones con la gestión pública del GAD Parroquial San José de Ancón. Esta investigación de tipo cualitativa y de alcance explicativo, formulado mediante la aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas a los 21 funcionarios del GAD parroquial y su posterior codificación y análisis en el sistema ATLAS.ti. El estudio concluye que, el uso del coaching en la gestión pública cambia gradualmente la cultura organizacional del GAD Parroquial. El cambio es posible porque el coaching provoca cambios en el comportamiento de las personas, estimula su creatividad, elabora planes y emprende acciones, a su vez conlleva a un impacto positivo en la motivación de los empleados.
